If you score less than the pass mark you will be provided with detailed feedback, support, and offered a number of options:
the opportunity to coach a different member of the IIC&M Accreditation Assessment Team at a mutually agreed date and time. There may be an additional charge for this session. Where there is an additional charge you will not be asked to pay the full application fee again.
an accreditation award equal to that demonstrated in your coaching assessment (with the exception of APC). In other words, if you applied for an AMC you could be offered the accreditation grading of ASC based on your skills assessment performance.
one-2-one support to help you understand your feedback and achieve the standards required. There is an additional charge for this support, but you will not be asked to pay the full application fee again.
a review by the Head of Skills Assessments and Intl. Head of Accreditation.
Organise your live coaching session with your IIC&M Skills Assessor
You will be provided with the name of your IIC&M Skills Assessor by email. It is your responsibility and our suggestion is that you organise this call as soon as you can. This will enable you to expedite your accreditation.
Reflection on Practice
(reflecting on your coaching session)
Immediately you have completed your coaching session with your Skills Assessor you will be sent an email with a link to the Self-Reflection form (found in the IIC&M’s Members Area) which you will be asked to complete with 48 hours. This form provides you with the opportunity to spend a time reflecting on your coaching call, score yourself, and write a reflection of each of the seven Core Competencies, while identifying areas for your own on-going Continuing Professional Development.
Please note – there is NO save button on this form, meaning that you will need to start and complete it in one sitting. Therefore, please organise to do this when you have adequate time to complete your reflection. We suggest that you leave at least one hour to complete this reflection form.
On completion, press the SUBMIT button and your Self-Reflection form will be sent in email format to both you and your Skills Assessor.
Please note – where you are applying for your AMC – Accredited Master Coach (IIC&M) or AFC – Accredited Fellow Coach (IIC&M), or are required to do a second coaching session; each coaching session will be with a different Skills Assessor. Therefore, you will be required to complete a Self-Reflection form for BOTH your coaching sessions.
Unable to complete a live coaching session
If you are unable to complete a ‘live’ coaching session with a member of IIC&M’s Accreditation Skills Assessment Team, you may submit a clear recording of a 30 minute coaching session with an unidentified client. This MUST be a real coaching session and not ‘role play’. It must be an on-going coaching session and not an intake or last coaching session. This client must be a client that is registered on your coaching log and you are required to highlight the call on your coaching log.
Record your coaching session in either MP3 or MP4 format.
Where you select to submit a pre-recorded coaching session, you will be required to have a interview with a member of the IIC&M’s Skills Assessment Team.
Where you select to coach one of your own clients, you MUST obtain written permission from your client confirming their agreement to submit this recording. Please ask your client to use the IIC&M’s Recorded Coaching Session Permission Form. Once you have your recording, it needs to be submitted through the upload system in the Members Area.
Interview
Where you have selected to send in a recording of a coaching session, a successful completion of an interview with a member of the IIC&M Accreditation Skills Assessment Team is required.
Where you have selected to submit an MP3, MP4 or equivalent file of a coaching session with a client, you will be contacted by a member of the IIC&M’s Skills Assessment Team to arrange a mutually convenient time and date for an interview.
You will be required to telephone or skype the IIC&M Skills Assessment Team Member for your interview.
This interview will last approximately 15-20 minutes.

The IIC&M believe that each coach is able to demonstrate their use of the IIC&M’s Core Competencies within a thirty minute coaching session. Should you wish to increase this time to a one hour coaching session, the additional cost is £130.00 per additional thirty minutes.
