2017 breeding season . Again , there is a recessive mode of inheritance . As the pictures show , T + albinos are the rival of any of the other morphs and are sure to be the next big ‘ want ’ and ‘ need ’ for the bluey lover !
Reduced pattern was the sixth morph to surface , and as the name suggests , this mutation influences pattern rather than colour , as was the case with all previous morphs to be discovered . I found a very small group of animals in a Brisbane pet ship and immediately recognised some potential . It had the gut feel of a polygenic trait that would be hard to pinpoint , but to my great surprise once again turned out to be genetic and recessive , and hence able to be replicated . For the carpet python morph lovers out there , this presents the opportunity to combine with other genetic traits in much the same way that ‘ Jaguar ’ and ‘ Zebra ’ pattern morphs have been proven to produce mind-blowing results in conjunction with albinism and axanthism . Look out for some additional pattern mutations from Gabe Otter in 2017 , with some critters that will take
