The photographs in the slide show are representative of her love for ballet, sustainable fashion and a celebration of the nature with which she is surrounded every day in Ireland. Some of her designs are reflective of the ocean and the struggle that many people have to access clean water. Her showcase at the New York Fashion Week using shower curtains in her design was about connections, how we all need water to survive. The photo of Maiya and the three models shows her award-winning concept she created when she was 12, called queens of the future ice age. Her focus was to show the damage that is being done by drilling for fossil fuel and the damage it is doing to the Arctic.
