COMMON VENUE The third Common Venue round for the y e a r w a s f i s h e d o n t h e 5 t h o f M a y. North Zone A tough round for the North Zone as scratching was definitely the go to option for most anglers. NCAA managed a total of 23.8 weight points ending in 3rd place for the round only 0.6 points behind 2nd place Absolute AC with 24.4 weight points. Umvoti AC caught a total of 16 fish for a 1st place 30.4 weight points. Mervyn Pillay from Castaway AC managed 8.8 points for the round ending 3rd in the zone for individual rank. NCAA member, Wesley Peens, caught a total of 9.2 points coming in 2nd place while Paslene Govender (Absolute AC) ended on 12.0 points securing the vital 100 rank points for the round. South Zone A few Grey Sharks showed up on the South Zone and Leviathan AC & Benders AC made sure they take full advantage while the bites were there. Benders AC “B” Team came in 3rd place with 39.6 points while Benders AC “A” managed a total 65.1 points for a second place. Leviathan AC caught 16 fish for their impressive 73.9 points effort for 1st place. The 3 top anglers for the zone all came from Benders AC. Avlik Singh with 16.3 points, Cammy Clarke 20.8 points and top weight went to Bobby Deutschmann with 26.2 points. Lower South Coast The lower south zone also had scratching conditions. Hibiscus AC finished 3rd with 15.2 points only 1.8 points behind 2nd place Glenmore R&S with 17 points. Tuna AC caught 10 fish for their 24.9 points giving them top spot for the round. Kurt Kuhn from Tuna AC finished first individually in the zone with 9.8 points, only 0.6 points clear of 2nd place Grame Bennet from Glenmore AC with 9.2 points and Roy Alderson from Marlin AC ended 3rd with 6.4 points.
