Entries are now closed for the Capricorn Rising Stars,
Apprentice of the Year competition.
In the end we had over 500 Members nominate their
apprentices which is a strong result for the new initiative.
There are some outstanding candidates from the diverse
group of applicants.
It’s now over to our judges to make some tough choices to
pick our finalists and overall winner.
Look out for the Top 5 finalists to be announced in the July
edition of Ignition with the inaugural Capricorn Rising Star
winner to be announced in August.
Thank you to all Members who participated as well as major
sponsor Castrol and all other Preferred Suppliers who teamed
up with Capricorn to make the initiative possible.

The Top 5 finalists will receive:
• A Repco tool kit valued at $1,000
• AutoMate online training program
• PLUS, invaluable mentoring experiences from industry
leaders
The overall winner will receive,
in addition to the “finalists” prize
pack:
• An all-expenses paid trip to the 2018 Vodafone
Gold Coast 600 for the Rising Star apprentice, their
workshop boss and two friends.
• Workshop Whisperer customer service course for the
Member and apprentice.
Ultra HD TV Winner
Congratulations to Ray Fisher of Georges Auto Service in
Katikati who has won an Ultra HD TV from Capricorn Risk
Services. To enter the draw, Ray simply requested a quote
for mutual protection as part of our Rediscover Capricorn
Risk Services campaign.
All other Members who requested a quote to enter the
draw also received 1000 reward points which will be
reflected on their statements next month.
