The Urinary System
The basic organs of the urinary system are the
kidneys, ureters, bladder and urethra. The function
of the urinary system is to regulate homeostasis –
keeping the equilibrium between chemicals in the
body and water. The kidneys produce and secrete
urine, which is eliminated from the body. It is
harmless and sterile and composed mostly of water
