Another theory why people fidget is that they suff er problems with attention. It has been shown that people who fidget a lot tend to mind wander/daydream more and as they fidget whatever tasks they are doing tend to suff er. However, it isn’t yet known whether fidgeting is the cause or the solution to their attention problems, as fidgeting can help us to both calm or stimulate our attention levels.
