Two members of the Teenage Market in
Kettering, Northants are Cakes by Cheylene,
and The Help Project
Cheylene sells beautifully decorated cakes at
a number of venues, including the Teenage
Market. She is also finding new ways to reach
customers with an innovative twist in her
business plans, offering an evening delivery
service of cake, through the online takeaway
site Just Eat; just the thing when you can’t face
another round of cookie dough for pudding!

Many teenagers take part in some form of
enterprise project during their secondary
school years. Members of the Help Project
are using their entrepreneurial skills to
develop social enterprise projects outside
of school time. They are teenagers aged
14+ who believe in positively contributing to
the community through charitable works.
During 2015 they raised funds to create Care
Packs for the Homeless. In 2016 they plan to
add a focus on the environment and climate
