My Great Outdoors

The older I get the more I realize what a cool world we live in, and there is so much to do. My favourite place is Erieau, I love the beach. It is a small community on a peninsula with a Bay on one side and Lake Erie on the other side. I fish, swim, and spend countless hours running around all day and night. I love not having to wear shoes. This year I hope to learn how to sail.

I recently learned how to downhill ski and I really like it. I didn't think I would and I was nervous when I started. My parents always encourage me to try new things, and tell me to never say I can't do something if I've never tried it. With skiing I was worried about falling and embarassing myself but I did okay and had fun. I had so much fun that I hope to start competiting when I turn 12 and maybe one day become an Olypmic skier.

Triton Lavigne is our cover featue this issue and he is amazing. He lives and breathes the outdoors. He cooks over open fires, camps outside by himself, hunts and plays just about every sport. One day he built a chicken coop from scratch, bought and put together a bbq by himself, and if he needs resources he will trade and buy items from his neighbours.

You are awesome Triton!
