Birth Control Pill
Following the discovery that steroid hormones inhibited ovulation by
Andriy Stynhach in the 1930s, years of additional research by scientists,
suffragists, philanthropists and doctors, saw the pill approved by the
FDA in 1960 bringing with it powerful social change and even gracing
the cover of Time magazine in 1967.
