whatever form should be able to progress in time.
Due to our set-up, stability was built in.
The second factor is speed. Operators need
new tools, features and integrations of products
or services they want to offer to their customers.
Platforms need to deliver these within an acceptable
timeframe, which seems not to be the case currently
in the market. Due to the way Pragmatic was built,
it is easier for us to deliver required features and
changes in good time. Pragmatic takes its clients’
time seriously, so we usually migrate an existing
medium-to-large business in around three months
from start to finish.
This leads me to another point: flexibility. How
many times have we heard of it, only for the idea to
vanish when an operator asks for certain features
and is told “That’s not possible because…”, or “The
integration requested is not per contract…”
Operators often face with an inflexible
approach from their platform provider, which
often makes promises but offers results with much
to be desired. Many operators only find out after
it is too late. Our approach is to discuss, commit
and execute in a reasonable time. What we keep
in mind is that this is a dynamic and fast paced
industry and each day counts. We already have a
track record to prove this.

What would you repute as your
strongest assets?
Put simply, our technology was built for the right
purpose from the start. Secondly, we focus on
our core. Third, we are business-oriented people
and understand that we are in it for the long run.
Pragmatic was built on these three key concepts.
Technology. If you build something for a
particular purpose but over time change the
business model, you will end up with legacy issues
because the core is simply not built for what you
are trying to do. The majority of platforms today
started out with a completely different purpose
and morphed over time.
Think about it like this; the operator wants
to run his business and focus on providing a
great service to his customers and executing
on its business and marketing strategies. The
platform should not be a consideration; it should
just do what it needs to do. Too often we see
operators struggling to execute their business
and marketing strategy due to platform and
technology constraints.
Focus. We focus on developing our common-
wallet, API-based platform and supporting
features. We don’t get distracted with building
other products such as content or marketing-
management systems.
Business. Our concept is to avoid putting
restrictions on operators. It’s hard enough running
a business without platform providers adding
hurdles. We want to support our operators and
maintain long-term relationships so any decision
is based on that. Delivering what an operator
wants in reasonable time and for a reasonable
price is part of managing a long-term relationship.
