RIGHTLANDER ROLLS OUT AFFILIATE COMPLIANCE ALERTS
RIGHTLANDER HAS EXPANDED
the scanning capabilities of its affiliate
compliance tool for the igaming industry
to 35 new territories.
Until recently the company’s focus
had been on the UK, where its scanning
tool covers affiliate websites to look for
specific words, terms and conditions,
phrases, images and events. The results
are used to produce alerts that help
affiliate managers and compliance officers
act quickly on possible issues.
The new geo-targeted version of the
tool will be able to scan affiliate sites
based in other regulated territories,
including Australia, Germany, the
Netherlands, Sweden and the US
among others.
“Rightlander’s priorities are
largely driven by our clients’
requirements,” said the firm’s CEO
and founder Ian Sims. “We provide
data to several large companies
dealing in multiple regulated, or
soon-to-be regulated, territories so
it was only a matter of time before
we expanded beyond the UK.
“The immediate priority for
several of our clients seems to be to
ensure that affiliates marketing their
brands in Sweden are clean and
compliant before the regulations
kick in. We also have clients with
a pressing need to explore the
affiliate site landscape in Greece
and Australia, whose regulatory
regime is already causing issues with
affiliate marketing.”
Sims added that one of the biggest
challenges facing Rightlander is
negotiating state-level regulatory
differences across the US.
“We have to treat each state as a
separate territory so we have set up
proxies and VPN access points in
each state,” he said. “This will enable
us not only to view content from
within a regulated state but also to
see how it appears outside of those
boundaries in non-regulated states.
Both sets of data will together help
monitor affiliate marketing, in what
will undoubtedly be a very strict
compliance regime.”
SKILLONNET UNVEILS SELF-EXCLUDER IDENTIFIER TOOL
SKILLONNET HAS UNVEILED a
new Self-Excluder Identifier API tool
to help UK affiliates remove certain
players from brands that use their
casino software.
The tool ensures that affiliates
working with SkillOnNet brands,
including PlayOJO, Ahtigames,
SlotsMagic, Mega and PlayMillion,
are not marketing to players who have
self-excluded either temporarily or
permanently. Affiliates can use it to
upload email addresses and mobile
phone numbers to ensure their
lists are up to date before launching
marketing campaigns.
“At SkillOnNet we take compliance
very seriously,” said the software
provider’s marketing director Michael
Golembo. “We took the decision to
develop a tool to ensure that affiliates
working with our brands meet the highest
possible standards. The Self-Excluder
Identifier is super simple to use and
means that affiliates can be certain they
are not targeting players who have opted-
out of playing at online casinos either
temporarily or permanently.
“The UK Gambling Commission
has made it clear that it will not tolerate
affiliates targeting self-excluded players
and our new tool is the most efficient
and effective way of ensuring that doesn’t
happen with any of our brands.”
SkillOnNet’s platform includes more
than 1,200 slot and table games from
suppliers such as Microgaming, NetEnt,
Yggdrasil Gaming, Merkur Gaming and
Big Time Gaming.
