Slots Showcase 2018
“Slots are
changing from
a linear,
simple style
into a more
expansive
game enriched
by the stories
behind them”
game is designed to work across all channels; website,
mobile app or in slot machines.
What are the main challenges in slot development
and delivery today?
The main challenge is ensuring you please the players.
Some of them are nostalgic old schoolers and attached
to certain types of games, and that is why we are
refreshing retro-style games. Some only like to play
new games and feel the excitement and rush as they
discover all the new functionalities, while others like to
get involved in the story behind the game. We want to
satisfy all tastes, so right now we are offering different
types of game underpinned by good mathematics and
featuring astonishing graphics and animations.
The other challenge is the technology itself. We are
now surrounded by many different ty pes of electronic
devices and it is a challenge to deliver impressive
graphics which load fast and use the minimum space
on the device.
What do you see as the major innovative and
disruptive trends in the online slots space,
and how will your product roadmap in 2018
reflect these?
Slots are changing from a linear, simple style into
a more expansive game enriched by the stories
behind them. Slot reels have been redesigned and
can change, expand or move, depending on the
game. This transforms the classic approach to
slot games. Even backgrounds are now built as
fully interactive features.
BF Games is currently preparing a new graphics
engine, now on its third release. It will launch after
ICE 2018. This solution will allow for universal
game development, adding content that is not only
connected with the spins themselves. We will also
be able to add arcade functionalities or logic-
based elements. It will also support the newest
developments in WebGL and enable 3D
game development.
