From the Editors
When we sent out email blasts with our call for submissions, we weren’t expecting to receive hundreds of submissions. As a new magazine, we hoped to fill our inbox with 50 submissions and select 10-15 pieces to publish, but the response was overwhelming and we spent months reading and rereading submissions before we picked our favorites for this issue. The response to our call for submissions has solidified our belief that there is a place for a literary journal focused on body image and eating disorders.
We hope you find something that speaks to you within the pages of this issue. We tried to include a variety of perspectives and experiences. If you didn’t find your voice in this issue (and even if you did), we encourage you to submit your work to us at [email protected] or facebook.com/iffjournal.
