Cami Applequist is a Minnesota writer and artist who is recovered
from binge eating disorder after in-patient treatment 12 years ago
followed by after care that continues until today. Her eating
disorder essays have not been published but she was chosen to read
one of them as part of the 2014 Listen to Your Mother, a national
series of live readings this spring and has recently begun to
contribute regularly to Emily Program Eating Disorder Services
Blog.
Jamie J. Barker is living in the San Francisco bay area, trying to
write, pay rent, and learn a thing or two. She graduated from
Fresno State's M.F.A. program, where she met talented, creative,
and ridiculously endearing fellow writers who inspire her to write.
In Fresno, she also had the privilege of teaching writing groups at
the country jail, and founding a community center called Dakota
House. Her writing inspirations come from these experiences, and
from her students, family, personal screw-ups, and of course,
public transportation.
A.W. Barnes is the Dean of the School of Liberal Arts and
Sciences at Pratt Institute. He is also a writer and a cultural critic.
In addition to his book, Post-Closet Masculinities (Bucknell
University Press, 2009), he has published nonfiction essays in

Alinauguration Betje is 44 years old and lives in Waikiki. She is
an urban shaman and enjoys the art of storytelling.
