he cultural integration of Afrodescendants is a process that marks much of the cultural bases in America and Europe . In Cuba , it has given rise to mestizo expressions that are developed in the artistic world , within the social universe , with close relation to the most pressing problems of the human expression . The artistic manifestations of the hiphop culture represent a vehicle for disseminating and sensitizing on the African origins and heritage , as well as for opening spaces of criticism and interaction in order to address different issues around the racial prejudices that still persist in our society . Firstly , we must break with the racial stereotypes that swirl around this musical genre and consider black as synonymous with marginality and criminality .
