Examples of local retailers are small high streets that are located in neighbourhoods. They usually have small convenient stores, a small supermarket, a garden centre or a key shop. Shops that provide the public with general items that are needed on a general basis. Local Retailers are also also include markets, such as Sunday markets that sell clothes at cheap prices; many bargains can be found.

In-town retailers are high streets that are busier they tend to have more fashion shops, and restaurants. They can also be shopping centres but they depend on size. For example Westfield Stratford is an in-town shopping centre, however Bicester village is out of town.
