LWPHomes is a charity that has long been close to the hearts of LWPT supporters, as the two charities were previously linked. There are four Westerley Christian Care Homes across the country, which are run by LWPHomes. To find out more about the homes, visit lwphomes.org.uk. Westerley Minehead On the 22nd April, Westerley Minehead held a party in celebration of the Queen’s 90th birthday, organised by Rosie Brown, the new activities co-ordinator. The party began with a service centered around the Queen, taken jointly by Rosie Brown and Janet Warrilow, a resident retired preacher All the residents, relatives and friends of Westerley made Crowns to wear for the party. There were diamonds and sparkles everywhere! Everyone enjoyed a fabulous, buffet style tea with sparkling fruit juice to celebrate the Queen. The beautiful cake (pictured), made by senior carer Katherine Weaving, was utterly delicious. Although Her Majesty was not there in person, there was a life-sized cardboard cut-out in attendance. Westerley Minehead was in fine voice as they joined together to sing the national anthem.
