Dr. Betty Cotton ‘51 I love reading many of the stories that the ICA alumnae send out. I was really proud that so many of our ICA grads have been accepted to attend college. I worked for 32 years at Santiago Canyon College in the city of Orange, CA. This is a community college and many students attend a community college for the first two years and finish their freshman and sophomore years and then transfer to a four-year university/college and finish the last two years and receive their BA degree. For many students this is a very good deal financially. When I graduated from ICA I attended San Francisco City College. It was a very good experience for me since my mom could not afford to send me to a four-year college. I did complete my education with a Bachelors, Masters and Ed.D. It took time, but it was worth it. Traveling has been one of my passions. I have received partial Fulbright grants to study in India, Egypt and China. I also had the the White Elephant game. Lunch was delicious. opportunity to live in Spain for a year as Dean of students at The Center for Intercultural Studies. All of these opportunities have given me such wonderful and unique experiences. My husband, Bill Edmundson and I continue to travel. Our next trip will be to Portugal, France, Lithuania, Romania, Oman, Iran, Turkmenistan and Kyrgyzstan. My advice to all ICA students…. travel and learn as much of the world as you can. The more we learn about other cultures and religions the more we will have peace and love in this world. Keep our Lord and His Blessed Mother always close to your hearts. Class of 1960 Hi Pandas!
