ICA Update No. 110 | Page 18

Corporate Work Study Program 1 2 T his year began with exciting challenges as we welcomed four new team members to the Corporate Work Study Program and sought to gain enough corporate partners to accommodate the largest enrollment ICA Cristo Rey has seen to date! There was a lot to do in a short amount of time, but the team stepped up with strong results: we successfully placed every student in a job and we celebrate almost 30 new corporate partners! We are also pleased to continue strengthening the CWSP curriculum and communicate to students that our expectations for CWSP coursework are at the same high standard that classroom teachers set. The workplace is truly an extension of the classroom for our students. The CWSP team plans to keep responding to student needs and to the needs of our corporate partners; it is vital to the future success of our students that we anticipate the skills that the workplace will be demanding and help build those skills along with professional presence. CWSP is truly part of the ICA Cristo Rey culture that strives for continuous improvement and we are grateful for all the ways in which our corporate sponsors support us in crafting the best program we can for our young women. § 18 ICA Update (1) Ivana ‘18 at Salesforce; (2) MAPS data entering competition; (3) MAPS fieldtrip to work locations in downtown San Francisco; (4) Jocelyn ‘19 with her supervisor at Coblentz, Patch Duffy & Bass 3 4
