Congratulations to Jadyn Padrones !
From Senior Night . Jadyn is accompanied by her brother AJ , who is graduating from USF the same day as she will be honored , her mother Annabelle , her father Michael , and Coach Nicole Dinas .
The entire ICA Cristo Rey community is happy to announce that Jadyn Padrones ‘ 17 has been selected as the 2017 recipient of the Elwood “ China ” Lang Memorial Scholarship from the San Francisco Prep Hall of Fame .
This prestigious award is bestowed on two graduating finalists from parochial , public , or independent high schools of San Francisco , one male and one female , who have demonstrated the following qualifications :
• Good citizenship and strength of character
• Service to school and community
• Athletic ability through interscholastic sports , and the potential to succeed in college athletics
• Financial need
Jadyn and her family will be honored on May 20 at the SFPHOF Annual Awards Banquet at Patio Espanol in San Francisco . She will receive a $ 1000 award to assist in her transition to college in the fall . She is expected to say a few words of thanks to banquet attendees , many of whom are inductees in the SFPHOF .
Lynelle Magat (‘ 15 ), ICA ’ s other China Lang scholarship award recipient from 2015 , will also be in attendance .
Thanks to those who wrote letters of support on Jadyn ’ s behalf , and thanks to all who continuously cultivate the Spartan pride .
