Seven girls from ICA ’ s class of 1950 recently had lunch at Max ’ s in Burlingame . It was a great day and we are all looking forward to the next time . Dina and her husband Bill recently became grandparents for the seventh time to grandson , Sean Christopher , born January 19 , 2016 . They now have Alexis , 18 , Madison 12 , Brooklyn 10 , Tyler and Jersey 7 and Sofia 3 .

Wendy Martens gave birth to a son , Sean Christopher , on January 19 , 2016 . He joins his sisters Sofia who is 3 and Alexis " Lexie " who is 18 .

At my 40th Immaculate Conception Academy high school reunion lunch , daughters were invited to bring their mothers . What joy to see my almost 80-year-old mother ( pink flowered blouse ) reunited with the 88-year-old mother of another ICA graduate , Regina (‘ 74 ). The older ladies were coworkers at a curtain factory in the early 60s after immigrating from Central America . They hadn ’ t seen each other in over 50 years . Also pictured is 2007 ICA graduate and now Spanish teacher , Judit ( far right in blue ) at ICA with her mom . Her parents fled the civil war in the 80s and have educated five professional children in the USA ! What a great reunion of classmates and of two generations of Central American women who are American success stories !

I wanted to give you a recent update of my family . On 1 / 30 / 16 , my 4th child was born . Her name is Genesis Esperanza Ortega . My oldest is Daniel , he ' s 16 years old and a junior at Gateway High School , my 2nd is Aaliyah , she ' s 14 years old and a freshman at Gateway High School , and my 3rd is Nasia , she ' s 9 years old and a 3rd grader at New Traditions Elementary .
