ICA Cristo Rey Mission Statement
Immaculate Conception Academy, a Catholic, collegepreparatory school, educates young women for
college and a life of faith, integrity and service. As
a Cristo Rey school in the Dominican tradition, we
are committed to providing both excellent education
and meaningful corporate work study experiences to
students of limited financial resources.
What is the Cristo Rey Network?
While limited access to quality education for all young
people is eroding the American dream, the Cristo
Rey Network provides a transformational educational
experience to urban high school students who do not
have access to quality schools. The nationwide (Boston to
Sacramento) network of 28 Catholic, college preparatory
schools exclusively serving economically disadvantaged
students is growing at a time when many public schools
are struggling to produce excellent results. Graduates
of Cristo Rey schools are enrolling in and completing
college at twice the rate of their low-income peers.
