ICA Cristo Rey LinkedIn Ambassadors
ICA Cristo Rey Ambassadors linked
up with LinkedIn in a “Power Hour”
networking event in May.
Hosted by ICA’s Young Professional
Group (YPG), Ambassadors went
down to LinkedIn headquarters for a
two-hour networking event. After a
social meet n’ greet, the girls listened
to a presentation by LinkedIn’s Megan
Hart on “How to Rock your LinkedIn
Profile.” Students learn how to
develop an effective LinkedIn profile
through their work study curriculum,
but this event taught them even more
about the importance of a strong
professional brand.
They also learned about connecting,
networking and the value of volunteering and
giving back to your community. Our girls were
treated to a delicious pizza dinner and had the
opportunity to socialize with these mentors.
Students also enjoyed a question/answer game
with professionals in various fields of marketing,
law, recruiting and finance, which was an
engaging activity that broadened their horizons
and understanding of professional fields.
The successful evening ended with the
exchange of business cards, smiles, handshakes
and hugs! §
