People have a way of showing their true
colors and while she may not see them
at first, she isn’t traumatized by their
departure. “It may seem cliché, but I believe
the adage that some people come into
your life for a season.” When I would
encourage her to fight against those who
wronged her, she always manages to see
the situation with objective eyes. “If I know,
in my heart, that I’ve done nothing wrong
I have nothing to fight. I treat people the
way I'd want to be treated.” Unfortunately,
it’s those she’s done the most for who
are often her biggest critics. After one
particularly difficult betrayal she adopted
a quote that is written on the inside of her
journal, “Often, people who criticize your
life, are usually the same people who don’t
know the price you paid to get where you
are today.”

that idea and cultivated that idea into a
well-oiled machine capable of continuing
to grow and pull others along into the
realm of success. Hats off to you, Jennifer
Yon! I can’t wait to see what comes next. n
Never one to close the door on relationships,
Jennifer admits that she metaphorically
places each detractor in a fictional rearview
mirror so that she always remembers that
they are a part of her past. Five years in and
Jennifer expanded IBA Success Magazine
into the Jennifer Yon Agency to provide
exposure to businesses on a variety of
media platforms. Her sheer perseverance
helped her survive the loss of her father
in 2019—again fuel for her tank. “Losing
my Dad hit me hard, but the one thing he
always wanted was for me to be successful
in life and in business. Every time I reach a
goal, I set new ones because I know that’s
what he’d expect.” She continued, “All I’ve
ever wanted to do is to help people achieve
their dreams. I have clients who are small,
one-man operations up to million dollar
companies. The small guy deserves as
much of my attention as the big guy. They
are just as important to me.”
The savvy business woman, who I call
my friend, was once a struggling young
lady with an idea. Today, I’m proud to say
that she stands as an example for young
