“Giving people access to a better life is
the ultimate goal for WOW Legacy," says
Wilson. She has firsthand knowledge of
overcoming with sheer willpower. In 2004,
Secily experienced an “on-air” stroke that
affected her broadcast quality voice. It
was her determination, faith in the Lord
and her circle of friends and family, that
gave her the fighting spirit to bounce
back after the unexpected life adversity.
Life continued to deliver sour lemons for
Wilson, in the form of a divorce, layoff,
foreclosure and she continued making
lemonade. Secily goes on to say, “My life
had fallen completely apart, at no fault of
my own.” The unfortunate setbacks, gave
Secily the fuel she needed to create WOW
Legacy and the Fall into Fabulous (FIF)
Empowerment Program to help other
women transitioning through life adversity.

For most women, when life falls apart
because of an unexpected adversity, they
become paralyzed, discouraged or even
hopeless. WOW Legacy created a program
that empowers lives of women, to help
them regain the strength, confidence and
ability to lead self- sufficiently. Instead of
falling apart, they “Fall into Fabulous”! Did
you know that one in eight women are
diagnosed with clinical depression? One in
five women fall into poverty after divorce.
One in three women lose their home.
One in four women fall victim to domestic
violence and the list of disparities among
women goes on. These numbers speak to
the vital need for its “social safety net”.
The FAB transformation begins with a
6-month empowerment and life skills
program. The weekly sessions cover six
specific topics that support economic
growth while increasing self-esteem and
self-sufficiency: Mental and Health &
Wellness, Financial Improvement, Con-
tinuing Education Professional/Personal
Development and Community Service.
Each area directly impacts and offers the
tools needed to build economic viability,
sustainability and growth.
DAY OF FALL INTO FABULOUS is an
annual fundraising luncheon that recog-
nizes and highlights the participants’
transformative accomplishments after
completing the program. Over the past
two years, the luncheon has grown to over
350 sponsors, donors, community leaders,
volunteers and supporters who gather to
witness the participants increased self-
esteem and confidence on the runway.

Legacy Group, a growing Central Florida
Non-Profit, is being led by Veteran TV
Journalist and community influencer,
Secily Wilson.
