CTG’s joint venture experience comes
through several major projects with
firms like Clark Construction Group –
Orange County Convention Center and
Ft. Steward Modular Temporary Facility
Design-Build, Centex Rooney (now
Balfour Beatty) – Several K-12 schools and
UCF Apartments and Academic Housing
Facilities, Haskell Company – A Women’s
Correctional facility, Demetree Central
– Orlando International Airport Parking
Garage, which are all major firms.
Beyond construction, CTG has hired
several graduates from the construction
engineering school and school of Business
and industry. CTG has also utilized many
interns from FAMU with quality hands-on
experience that has accelerated learning
and, in some cases, yielded construction
upstart businesses. At the same time,
CTG maintains a community minded
philosophy.

CTG was fortunate to have Walt Disney
World approve it for participation with
two major construction firms which
included the Coronado Springs Resort
and Convention Center and the Wide
World of Sports. This opportunity was the
steroid shot that really allowed CTG to
grow because of the opportunity partner
with John Jeniec - Centex Construction
and M A Mortenson. These opportunities
provided CTG the ability to build its
internal infrastructure of the company

I am often asked about the future of CTG
and there are a few things that come to
mind:

upward trajectory. I hope that they will
understand the value of relationships to
sustain CTG well into the future, for I feel
my success has been built around real
relationships and partnerships. I have
always stood by my friends and they
have stood by me. n
We are particularly proud of the fact that
as an African American construction firm,
we look beyond the project to how it will
affect the surrounding community. The
team explored how creative place making
could be used to instill a sense of place
and honor the site’s historical significance,
while also listening and responding to the
needs of the surrounding community.

by numerous ABC Awards for Excellence
in Construction “Eagle Award”, including
the Winter Haven Area Transfer Facility.
