Describing her experiences in Mexico, Davis remarked just how humble all
the people they met were.
“Even though they [the Mexicans] did not have much, they always had a
smile on their face and kindness in their hearts. What I learned from Mexico is that no matter what the odds are against you in society, there is still
opportunity for happiness,” Davis reflected.
Currently, Davis and Dr. Brown are trying to raise money to build a well
for a communi ty in Mexico called El Tablon, where 700 families live without running water. Davis has created a GoFundMe page for the fundraiser
at http://www.gofundme.com/pa9od8. She describes her trip as eye-opening, and she urges people to be willing to step out of their comfort zone
and broaden their horizons.
