In March of 2015, graduating Reinhardt University senior
Sherina Davis took a trip to Mexico as part of the SSC 495 Diverse People: Mexico course taught by Dr. Cheryl Brown, Professor of Sociology at Reinhardt. More than half of the students
that were enrolled in the course spent the week of Spring Break,
under the guidance of Dr. Brown, Dr. Donald Gregory, and Dr.
Anne Good, traveling to Ixmiquilpan, a rural community in
Mexico where they collaborated with the non-profit organization Vidas de Esperanza. There, they created a startup for a dental clinic and brought the school in that region much-needed
supplies.
