Dulce Galindo, Hannah Buckner, Nathan Stamper, Vanessa Irie and Maria-Gracia Beltran I, Too, Am Reinhardt I remember sitting in the most delicious authentic Mexican restaurant with Vanessa Irie early last semester. We were there to discuss the intercultural event that I and the COMment Club, the student organization for Communication majors, were planning to develop for the spring. After listing the must-haves, and deciding it would be student-led, we struggled with a name. “I have an idea,” she said. “Did you ever hear about ‘I, Too, Am Harvard’?” I had, but only because I’m a Facebook and Reddit junkie. I wasn’t too keen on the idea, though, because I didn’t really know what the cause and drive were for the campaign. So that night I studied. 8 Launched on YouTube in the spring of 2014, Ahsante Bean filmed and edited interviews of black students who attended Harvard College. Listening to them speak out about how they are treated on a prestigious college campus started to inspire me.
