Women who practice self-care are more successful and happier individuals. If your empire is depending on you to build it, then you need to be in the best shape possible to achieve that.

Here are some ways successful Queens can practice self-care:

Wake up early. Getting up a earlier than normal, even if just a few minutes earlier, gives you the opportunity to get ahead of the game. There is truth to the saying “The early bird catches the worm”. Your mind is fresh, well rested and ready for action. Early in the morning is the perfect time to breathe, pray, exercise, journal and set your mindset for what is to come.

Workout. Building an empire requires endurance and a good exercise routine not only produces endorphins but builds stamina!

Get some sleep. Thats right, shut down the computer and go the bed. Sleep is your body’s time to reset. If you don’t get enough sleep, you are sure to burn out sooner than later and whose empire has time for that?

Spend time with loved ones. Quality time with the people we love rejuvenates us from the inside out. Family and friends love and accept us for who we are. We need a support system while chasing our dreams and accomplishing our goals.

Unplug. Ever so often we need to unplug. We are so attached to our devices that a break periodically is beneficial. Social media, emails, phone calls, and networking are all very vital to building an empire, but whenever possible take a break. One way to accomplish this is by having set office hours for your business.
