After much research conducted by Dr. Matthew Brandstetter and his team, we have officially launched the much anticipated Prep TEC (Technology-Enhanced Curriculum) Program. We believe that using the iPad in the classroom, as a component of learning, supports Fairmont’s vision of 21st century style learning. Another great piece of information that I am very happy to share with you is regarding an addition to our academic program. Ms. Mary Hurley, Dean of Advanced Studies, is spear heading the creation of an International Business Program at the Prep Academy, which we hope to launch as early as next Fall. The International Business Program allows students to focus on business courses, such as: business law, economics, statistics, finance, and entrepreneurship. Equally exciting, the Prep is proud to have a FIRST Robotics Competition (FRC) Team, led by Mr. Remy Demont, as of this Fall. FIRST stands for “For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology”. Students work together as a team to build and program robots, competing against FRC teams from other schools. If you have any questions about joining the FRC Team, which is part of the Prep Plus Program, please contact  Mr.  Demont.           Wishing you all luck for the remainder of the year. I look forward to seeing you on campus over the next several months. Go Huskies!
