Dr. Mukul Kumar
Nicholas J. Amdur
Chief Academic Officer
Global Dean of Faculty
Dr. Mukul Kumar joined Hult in 2011. As Chief Academic Officer he is responsible for the design, delivery, and
oversight of all of Hult’s academic programs across the
world. Prior to Hult he launched and led high-growth
global advisory and education businesses and has
previously taught at U.S. and European universities.
Dr. Kumar started his career with McKinsey & Co. and
was then Executive Director of Executive Education
and a faculty member at the Robert H. Smith School of
Business at the University of Maryland. At Maryland, he led the creation of an entire
portfolio of new executive education programs and taught Economics and Management Consulting. Dr. Kumar holds a PhD in Economics from Princeton University
and Bachelor degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Nicholas J. Amdur has over forty years of line, staff,
and executive policy experience in an engineering,
manufacturing, computer systems, and education
setting. In 1989, Nick established Amdur Associates, an
operations consulting firm that focuses on enterprise
and supply-chain solutions in operations, logistics,
materials, and information systems.
Associated with Hult since 2005, Nick teaches MBA
courses in Operations Management. He has served as Chair of the Faculty Operation Commitee and in 2012, Nick was appointed Global Dean of Faculty, responsible for the direction of 170 faculty across five worldwide locations.
I love the opportunity to develop and mentor faculty, interact with
students, and work with such a dedicated, creative, and energetic
team… all driving for student satisfaction. My proudest moment is at
commencement, seeing what we have helped produce…. then we
get to do it all over again!”
Rob Anthony
Senior Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs
Rob holds an MBA from the Harvard Business School
and an AB, magna cum laude, from Occidental College
in Los Angeles. With a dual career as a general management consultant and an educator, Rob has assisted
global corporate clients. As an educator, he has taught
courses in Management, Leadership, and Innovation
at Hult, and has served as a campus Dean and Global
Discipline Lead.
Having worked with generations of Hult students in all phases of
the program, what I find most fulfilling personally is witnessing our
students’ growth from the time they enter to the time they leave. This
growth isn’t always obvious to the students themselves, however I
think we all see a level of competence come August that could not be
imagined a year earlier, which is exciting and rewarding.

Nicholas J. Amdur
Dr. Ian Dougal
Global Dean, Undergraduate Programs
Dr. Ian Dougal earned his undergraduate degree from
Swansea University, his Master degree from the
University of Southern Mississippi, and his PhD (in
International Relations) from the University of Birmingham. Ian was previously Dean of the London campus,
where he oversaw the development of both undergraduate and Master degree programs. He was then made
Dean of Programs, responsible for global curriculum
and policy, and the maintenance of academic quality
across all Hult’s campuses. Ian has now taken on the role of Global Dean, Undergraduate Programs.
