What motivates you to lead your Chapter ?
I want to personally contribute to the growth of our alumni community here in San Francisco , and to help increase the overall brand value for Hult alumni around the world . I want to build a community that every Hultian is proud to be associated with .
What are your biggest challenges ?
I would say one of the biggest challenges is revitalizing engagement from older generations of alumni . Another big challenge we face is building corporate partnerships for event hosting .
What events and initiatives have you implemented to become a top-performing Chapter ?
We have hosted at least one event per month since late 2014 , and expanded these events to other parts of the Bay Area earlier this year . In 2015 , we partnered with the San Francisco campus and launched the first-ever alumni mentorship program , which helped create connections between alumni and current students . This then lead to greater engagement once the students became alumni themselves . Later this year , we are also launching a new initiative to create a peer-to-peer network of alumni mentoring groups .
What is the most unique thing about your Chapter community ?
I think what sets the San Francisco Chapter apart is our focus on how to add value for our local alumni , whether it ’ s through corporate partnerships , events , or discounts on services . We are also differentiated by our focus on engaging with the current students at an early stage to foster cross-generation connection and relationship building . We co-host meaningful events on and off campus throughout the academic year .
Best Chapter moment ?
Whenever I see an alum coming back to another event , hear from an alum who wants to get involved with the leadership team , or I ’ m told about someone ’ s appreciation of the Chapter leadership team , I feel that all the hard work is worth it .
