While Carlos Rojas was working towards his Masters in International Marketing and Juan Felipe Santos was finishing his Bachelor of Business Administration, the concept of Viewy was born. Carlos and Juan then co-founded Viewy alongside Manuela Ospina, a student from Universidad de los Andes. 2018 has been a great year for Viewy. In March they won a prize at the 100 Open Startups event at Open Innovation Week Brazil. In April they were accepted onto the Oracle Scaleup Ecosystem Accelerator Program. Their biggest plan for the year ahead is to expand their company across the world. Work ethic, creativity, presentation skills and—most of all—an eagerness to succeed is what the team believes characterizes the Hult DNA. It is those skills and mindset that helped the team test the waters to ensure they devised a winning startup strategy. The team is thrilled to see how much the company has grown in such short time, and would love to hear from current Hult students and alumni if they want to join them on the next stage of their adventure! The Viewy team aims to build a VR agency that focuses on developing apps to improve marketing and training processes for big companies. Through their own apps, they offer a SaaS (Software as a Service) model. The company officially launched in January 2017 and, just four months later, they closed their first deal. Since then it’s been go-go-go. They are the first company in Colombia to have a VR partnership with Lenovo and TP-Link. To date, Viewy has been self-funded, but they are now actively looking for external investors. 101
