Yim Phetnamsin Peer Mohaideen Sait
Gelatologist & Founder, Ampersand Gelato
Masters in International Business, Class of 2012 Founder & CEO, Black Cube Solutions
(Training Calendar & INNOWORK)
MBA, Class of 2013
Yim had always harbored an ambition to be her own boss,
so she spent the two years after graduation refining the business
idea that had ignited a real passion in her—sharing her penchant
for exotic ice-cream flavors with the inhabitants of Bangkok.
“I love food! Ice cream is one of my all-time favorite desserts,
but here in Thailand I get bored easily with the limited options.” Peer founded Black Cube Solutions in 2016. As a frontier company,
it is well poised to disrupt the learning and performance through
machine learning and AI. Since its launch, his company has twice
been featured in the Forbes Middle East edition as an innovative
product. It was also recently shortlisted as “Best HR Technology
Product of the year” by Future Workplace Awards 2018 committee.
Her desire for diversity in ice cream led her to experiment with
unusual flavor combinations including maple syrup and candied
bacon, olive oil, and yuzu sorbet. She credits Hult with nuturing
her appreciation for all things international. After graduation,
she opened her first ice cream store, Ampersand, in Bangkok. Training calendar’s INNOWORK provides a platform for corporate
users to identify the skills of their employees, update their
competency, find their skill gaps, create Training Need Analysis and
search or allocate the training courses from 100,000+ courses listed
in the platform for their employees. The system will automatically
create a development plan and individual learning pathways. Its
Innovative Performance Management system model helps the
corporate user to achieve the desired goals using their talents’ great
potential and skillsets. It also recommends the employee who can be
the best fit to execute the tasks based on their skills and connect with
objectives and key results to achieve the organization’s goals.
Yim believes being truly passionate about what she does is
the number one reason behind her success. She isn’t afraid
of admitting that starting a business from scratch was extremely
challenging, but her creative flair is paying off as Ampersand
was awarded the coveted title of Bangkok’s Best Restaurant in
the dessert category from 2015 to 2018. It was also featured
in Louis Vuitton’s Bangkok City Guide. A second store was
recently opened to meet the growing demand.

The platform is also designed to help students identify the skills they
need to develop to become job-ready after graduation, and it will help
professionals identify the skills required to increase their match
percentage with their desired jobs. It recommends the free e-learning
and daily micro-learning contents to build skills and design a learning
pathway and development plan. Students can use Training Calendar
to find the jobs posted by their campus.
