SuperNET Tuesday Update 31/01/2017

Another week as gone by and Komodo is now ready for the most important update yet, the release of the GUI wallet, which has been heavily tested by the community. The distribution of the KMD coins is currently ongoing and the first batch started before schedule.

Elections are over, we now know our notary nodes!

The Komodo notary nodes elections are now over, and the winners have been announced! We want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who participated and the members that voted. The interest from the Komodo community is outstanding! The results are as follows:

● EU: 16 nodes

● NA: 16 nodes

● AR: 13 nodes

● SH: 14 nodes

There is a total of 59 notary nodes elected! (+3 development notary nodes) = 62 Notary Nodes

The names of the newly elected notary nodes can be found from here.

KMD distribution & launch

The Komodo distribution process has started ahead of schedule. If you haven’t requested a payout, don’t worry as this is not mandatory yet. Users can keep their funds on the ICO platform until Komodo starts trading on an exchange.

For those that wish to store their funds in the wallet, they can request a payout on the ICO platform, which will transfer the funds to the address previously created on this same platform. Make sure you have the correct seed (12 words) before you request a payout. If you lose your seed, Komodo can`t recover your wallet.

Furthermore, this process can be done without the need to actually download and install the wallet. Once you want to use your funds, you can download the wallet and log in using your seed and your KMD will be waiting for you.

Iguana app available for download

The Iguana app, while still in its beta stage, has been recently released and can be downloaded here. You can now log in with your seed and access your KMD coins! You can also create a new account and buy some, once they hit exchanges.

The team has also put together a comprehensive guide for both Linux and Windows to ensure everyone can easily access and use Iguana! You can find the guides below:

New website

Along with the Iguana app, the team also published the new supernet.org website. The website will become the central hub for everything the team is doing. For now, the content is limited, but the team will keep adding new content regularly.
