I joined Alexandra after completing my BA ( Hons ) Fashion Design degree at De Montfort University , Leicester , in 2005 . Since then , my role has progressed from Junior Design to Product & Design Manager for the Alexandra brand .

Alexandra works with key partners and tried and tested suppliers who share their high standards of quality and reliability .
Bell Apparel have , for many years , been a key supplier to Alexandra for high performance Gore-Tex ® Foul Weather outerwear ; a product type in high demand . It is an essential part of Alexandra ’ s product offering to be able to supply solutions that incorporate the unbeatable performance of highly waterproof , yet exceptionally breathable Gore- Tex ® fabrics , combined with the expertise of Bell Apparel ’ s manufacturing .
I am responsible for all Alexandra products - both stock backed and customer bespoke - from design through to discontinuation . My team focuses on ensuring our products are fresh , modern and trend led through styling , fabric and sizing , whilst being equally functional and in line with customer demand and health and safety standards .
Toffeln are a fantastically pioneering company . Their strong product design and innovation focus helps to provide Alexandra and its customers with a very high quality product that is design led with great comfort . Alexandra works closely with Toffeln , recently launching their new WearerTech range - comfortable catering footwear integrated with state of the art ergonomic technology to create a slim and lightweight design .
Alexandra has partnered with Magnum for their tactical security footwear . There is a strong requirement for footwear in security and ambulance sectors , particularly for ex-service professionals who take on these roles after leaving the armed forces . They often want a product that ’ s both familiar and reliable , and Magnum boots are ideal for this role . Magnum have evolved their products to offer professional footwear for the trades , with excellent industrial footwear designs included in the current Alexandra catalogue . Magnum also offer excellent customer support .
RAW MATERIALS & SUSTAINABILITY In 2018 , Alexandra has added a stock back sustainable range to their catalogue . The new Upcycled collection , which includes a polo shirt and sweatshirt , is created using the cutting room fabric waste from their factories - something which normally would have gone to landfill . The fabric scraps are sorted and the cotton extracted , which is then combined with PET plastic bottle polyester to create a soft , yet environmentally friendly fabric . Manufactured into popular , unisex polo shirt and sweatshirt designs , this collection enables the customer to help protect the environment whilst still looking great !
