APPROVED FOR PUBLICATION
WITH 93% OF FINAL VOTE
SO 45001 - the new occupational health and safety
(OH&S) standard - has been approved following an
overwhelming final vote of 93% by the ISO member
National Standard Bodies (NSBs); publication is anticipated
in March 2018.
OHSAS will be withdrawn on the publication of ISO 45001
and organisations currently certified to OHSAS 18001 will
have three years to migrate to ISO 45001.
Start to prepare for ISO 45001
Organisations need to start thinking about their
migration to the new standard. The Lloyd’s Register ISO

firm Ver dantix will host the
fifth annual summit for health,
safety, environment (HSE) innovation
and technology from March 13 to 14.
The Verdantix 2018 HSE Summit in
Europe will gather more than 150 HSE

investors at the Twickenham Stadium
Conference Centre near central London.
