AS CITIES BEGIN REOPENING and people start resuming their
normal day-to-day activities, the question of work remains. Some
companies have extended the option to work from home until
the end of the year, next year, or even indefinitely. Others are
exploring a hybrid model where they’ll likely employ a variety
of practices—from partial reopenings, creating small teams that
take turns working together in an office, to transitioning to a
permanent work-from-home policy. No matter what, knowledge
workers will continue to be dependent on digital systems—
perhaps now more than ever—to help them connect and collaborate
on the job.
Scammers and hackers have taken advantage of these months of
upheaval, which has been compounded by the challenges of enforcing
security policies and procedures with a remote workforce.
