The 2019 HP Megatrends Report
looks at how innovation and
disruptions in economics, data,
automation, and energy impact
megatrends. Our analysis explored
urbanization’s impact on income and
growth, the rise of new metro-based
economic powerhouses, and the
role that automation, education,
and re-skilling play in overcoming
labor market challenges that could
stifle future economic growth.
Finally, we looked at the correlation
between rising incomes and increasing
energy consumption, and the role
technology might play in driving
greater efficiencies.
