COMMUNITY VOICE MICHELE HUANG A PJ C ate g o r y M a n a g e r O f f ice P rintin g S o l utio n s , H P How has printing evolved over time and how can it help us excel in the future, especially in APJ? Printing has evolved from a simple one-step paper process into being part of the digital path of work. Many companies are slowly evolving processes to reflect the needs of the mobile workforce and are taking advantage of the cloud for this. The good news is that this plays to our strengths for growing our A3 and contractual business, with our strong suite of solutions ranging from manageability, security, and mobility to workflow. For APJ, where digitization is being pursued actively by many countries such as India, China, and in South-East Asia, the timing is perfect for HP to step in with our strengthened portfolio of A4 and A3 managed printers, copiers, and solutions, as well as partner with companies to ensure it is HP technology which powers this transformation.” JAMIE NEO D ire c to r of En gin e e rin g , A PJ S u p p li e s O p e ratio n s , H P I started my career in print a year after the successful launch of Deskjet 500. We were responsible for manufac- turing the inkjet cartridges for these printers in Singapore. Growing in tandem with print performance, we went on to manufacture the different generations of Thermal Inkjet Technology (TIJ) ink cartridges for consumers, business, and graphics, and moving from 2D to 3D printing. Digital print in 2D and 3D will bring about a different level of personalization and customization and will revolutionize the industry! 62 HP Innovation Journal Issue 11
