I guess it’s obvious but the biggest surfaces of any home are walls,
floors, ceilings and window coverings. These are the things people
notice first (because they are so obvious) and the easiest to change.
I bought my home a year before I decided to conduct my test. I bought
at what I consider was the absolute peak of the market. Properties
coming onto the market only lasted a week or two before they were
snapped up. My house was only ten years old but the carpet was a
cheap nylon faded blue color and the walls were similar.
