On a big blank white wall I painted a black square with blackboard paint
with a bar of red across the top to add a color splash. Because it was
near the kitchen, I started using the blackboard as a shopping and todo
list and didn’t rub it off for viewing days. After the first open house I
noticed children had drawn on the board as well. My agent told me they
were having so much fun with it that their mother had difficulty getting
them to leave at the close of the open house. I’m sure those kids
helped me sell for more by telling their mother how much they liked the
blackboard. Now they can draw on it anytime they like because their
parents bought my house!
