What do all these statements have in common? They are all small town ideals. And that makes sense. Looking at the exit polls, most Trump voters were from small towns or rural areas. But he didnt just appeal to those in small towns. In fact, sometimes, it seems his platform was more inclined towards the wealthy. For instance, he promised to lower the tax cost for the rich businessmen. This, in my opinion, is what gave Trump the victory. Think about it. What are most of the electoral college members? RIch businessmen. And since in some states, they don't have to vote for the one the people voted for, Trump just had to appeal to the college voters. He hit hard on both sides, and I feel confident saying this was how he took the election.
