information must be available about the identity and hazards
of the chemicals you may come into contact with.
• OSHA’s Hazard Communication Standard (HCS) requires that
this information be available to all workers at any time during
their workday.
There have been hairstylists, nail technicians, estheticians,
and other licensed professionals in the cosmetology industry
that may have been forced to stop practicing their profession
due to allergies, dermatitis, and breathing conditions. Beauty
professionals are advised to look closely at the products that
are being used (read product labels and SDS sheets). For your
health and safety and that of your client, be informed and
prepared.

This course has been developed to provide continuing
education to the licensed cosmetology professional and
is approved by TDLR (Texas Department of Licensing and
Regulations). The subject matter in this course includes:
Successful Salon Operations Opening your own Salon, Written
Agreements, Insurance, Recordkeeping, Understanding Cash
Flow, the Business Plan in the Cosmetology Industry.
This course will satisfy 1 Hour of (3) required of Cosmetology
related topics for all licenses and certificates under the umbrella
of Cosmetology including: Operator, Manicurist, Esthetician/
Facialist, Hair Weaving, Braiding, Eye lash Extensions.
NO FINAL EXAM! NO EXAM QUESTIONS ASKED
