Lfelong New Yorker Donald Trump visited the National Sept. 11 Memorial and Museum in Lower Manhattan Saturday for the first time.

The GOP front-runner has often invoked the tragic terror attack while on the campaign trail and has brought up New York’s resiliency in the face of the atrocity during debates.

But the busy real estate scion apparently never found the time to pay his respects to the 2,996 people who lost their lives in the attacks.

Nor has the billionaire’s charitable foundation made a single substantial donation to any 9/11-related nonprofit groups that have aided survivors, rescue workers and the families of first-responders who gave their lives after the devastating terror attacks.

But Trump did accept a $150,000 federal grant that was part of a program meant to assist small businesses affected by 9/11.

On Saturday, Trump arrived at the solemn site shortly after noon and spent about 30 minutes touring the museum, which opened to the public in 2014

9/11 Memorial President Joe Daniels showed the candidate and his wife the space, including parts of the historical exhibition.

He left without speaking to members of the media invited along for the visit by the campaign, but was photographed by several shocked tourists.

Not all onlookers were happy to see the sharp-tongued tycoon.

“I’m at the 9/11 Memorial and no joke Donald Trump just came through and everyone was extremely mad,” Nick Schug wrote on Twitter.

“What’s the difference between Trump’s staged visit to the 9/11 memorial and Clinton's staged trip on the subway? Such a hypocrite,” wrote leafsweetie.

Others were more excited to see the real estate mogul.

“Just seen Donald trump - in the 9/11 museum!” wrote Callum Fairhurst.

Aside from using the the tragedy as part of his off-the-cuff on the campaign trail speeches, Trump raised eyebrows last year when he repeated an oft-told rumor of Muslims celebrating the tragedy in Jersey City the day of the attacks.

Trump has criticized rival Ted Cruz for comments that the Texas senator made at a GOP debate criticizing New York values.

In defending his home city, Trump has pointed to New York’s response to the Sept. 11 attacks.
