The decision to repeat the horse races in subsequent years gave rise to the Oktoberfest tradition. The story telling sessions will cover topics such as, ‘Unveiling the Secrets of Borobudur’, ‘Bali, past, present, and future’, as well as a colourful discourse on ‘Threads of tradition: Textiles of Indonesia’. The latter introduces guests to the many types of Indonesian cloths used today for ritual and daily purposes, along with explanations on their symbolic coding. Interesting textile samples will also be on display, alongside market goods with several items up for fun tasting opportunities. She will be in residence at Alila Villas Soori, conduct story telling session over an afternoon tea at The Reading Room, in addition several tours are slated to combine with her exciting tales, providing not only a deeper understanding and familiarity, but also an engaging excursion to see the natural beauty of Bali’s western region.
