TOP ARCHITECTS 2018 SIMON KINCAID – DIRECTOR, CONRAD & PARTNERS Interior Architect with 15 years’ professional experience, Simon Kincaid works internationally across multiple sectors applying creative thinking and operational understanding. Recently completed, the Kraków Kazimierz Hotel opened with a distinctive ‘Bohemian Modern’ theme. TOM LINDBLOM – HOSPITALITY LEADER, PRINCIPAL, GENSLER Tom Lindblom has more than 25 years’ experience on a variety of projects, with a special focus on hotels, resorts, and museums. Working with diverse clients in Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the United States has broadened his understanding and appreciation for unique opportunities in a variety of markets. Lindblom is active with clients in the Mediterranean and Adriatic to develop sustainable resorts that operate efficiently from an economic, social and environmental position. Lindblom teaches and lectures on architecture, lighting design, and museum design at universities in the U.S. and London. TOMMY LEE – DIRECTOR, PLP ARCHITECTURE Tommy Lee is a Director and architect with more than 13 years’ of experience working on major projects for architectural practices in London and Hong Kong. Lee is a key design team member for Foshan New City Suning Plaza, China, a complex mixed-use development which includes offices, hotels, residential and retail facilities and a central plaza. Having led the coordination of design and planning issues with the Local Design Institute, he is responsible for the master plan and the design of the 318-metre high landmark office and hotel tower. Lee holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree and a Master of Architecture degree (1st with distinction) from the University of Bath. His accolades include a Graduate Design award and a feature in Building Design’s 100 Top UK graduates. YASMINE MAHMOUDIEH - PRINCIPAL, YASMINE MAHMOUDIEH The award-winning architect Yasmine Mahmoudieh develops innovative design and architectural concepts considering new real estate solutions, reaching from urban planning to detailed design. Mahmoudieh pioneers the use of alternative and unconventional materials in design. She sees lighting as the ultimate tool in interior design; beautifully designed lighting schemes are at the heart of her work. Completed projects to date include the Radisson Sas Copenhagen, the Millennium centre shopping mall in Budapest, the Headquarters of Aon in Hamburg and the Intercontinental Berchtesgaden Resort in Obersalzberg (the latter won the influential world travel award 2007 as one of the world’s leading spa resorts). Her current projects include the Nikolskie– ryady Crown Plaza st. Petersburg hotel and retail complex, the 220000m² Ocean Park complex and aquarium in Moscow and a signature office building in Bucharest. 41
