And, (to get to the REAL point of the story!), I then had some AMAZING
photographs taken. One of my close friends, who lived in the area, was a
professional real estate photographer. He takes photos of those fabulous big,
super-chic homes you see – those sprawled out along the river, the private
hideaways in the hinterland, or those grand homes sitting up high with the
ocean-front views.
So of course I asked him to photograph my very humble property too. And
he did an extraordinary job. He put in extra effort as a special favour to me.
He took beautiful morning shots, with the sunlight streaming in the bedroom
windows. He then came back during the middle of the day to capture the
living room at its best… and then he arrived at twilight to capture some truly
romantic shots of the pool, the sunset, and the national park.
The shots looked beautiful. We were so grateful to him.
And the result?
Well, you guessed it! It was an amazing result, despite everyone telling us it
was a “terrible time to sell”… in a very flat property market.
We had been advised that we could expect to achieve a price in the low
